Donor Advised Funds: An Innovator Tells You How To Increase Your Impact.

Danielle Capalino, CEO of Neta, and Stacy Blain, CEO of Concarlo led a fascinating and innovative discussion about deploying charitable investments to amplify philanthropic impact.

Danielle holds a BS from MIT in Brain and Cognitive Science, and a Masters in Public Health Nutrition from Johns Hopkins. She will tell us how to advance philanthropic objectives by investing in pathbreaking scientific initiatives through a donor advised fund. Neta is a unique platform that empowers donors to make transformative investments into early-stage companies aligned with their values–using charitable money.

Stacy is an internationally known expert in cell cycle and cancer biology. She was trained at Princeton, Columbia and the Memorial Sloan-Kettering, and is one of the world’s experts on p27Kip1, a potential tumor suppressor.  Concarlo is focused strategies to inhibit the three main drivers of cancer progression and drug resistance in order to finally change outcomes for women with metastatic breast cancer. She has been studying cell cycle regulation for more than 25 years as an NIH funded investigator and was a tenured Associate Professor at the SUNY Downstate Medical Center.
