Lustre Presents: Democracy and Engagement — Older Women Making a Difference
Join this exciting conversation with Force Multiplier’s Co-Chair Laura Weisel and Congresswoman Susan Wild (PA 07) talking about Congress, women’s healthcare and prescription drug costs, the state of our economy, the importance of bipartisanship, Congressional races in 2024 and much more.
Force Multiplier is a a grass-roots fundraising organization led largely by older women that researches and focuses on the electability of Democratic candidates at the federal level. Representative Susan Wild first ran for Congress in 2018 when she turned 60; her most recent election in 2022 was one of the closest in the country. Representative Wild is a lawyer, a long time advocate for women’s healthcare, and a strong believer in working across the aisle.
I watched this after the fact and loved it. I am looking at what to do in my next chapter and this was very inciteful as a way to spend my time and money that would be worthwhile. Thank you, Lustre, for supporting these kinds of events.
