Pride.

by Karen and Erica

It is Pride Month, when we reflect on the Stonewall Uprising in 1969 and other events along the bumpy road to recognition of the humanity, and concomitant rights, of the members of the LGBTQ community.

The history behind Pride Month can be found in many places, including the Library of Congress, and the Own Your History website, which has about 50 links to all aspects of the LGBTQ experience in the United States.

We look forward to the day when each of us can be appreciated for our individual characteristics without being ranked by them. The Pride journey is a step in the right direction.
