The Holiday in New York City

By Karen and Erica

We are lucky to be surrounded by family and friends this holiday season. The Christmas Tree at Rockefeller Center is as beautiful as it has ever been. The lights glisten as they have in years past. The streets, bars and restaurants are filled with people celebrating the season.

And yet--there is something else. There's a weight, a sense of foreboding, that is hard to shake. We can't ignore it. But we have a lot to be thankful for. We are not going to let the deepening clouds overcome the joy in our lives. We too will celebrate and enjoy the holidays. And we hope you will too. There will be plenty of time to work next year.
