Do you keep up with the news, but are you getting tired of the pontifications of your regular talking heads? Do you want something different, more personal, from someone who knows where you are coming from and also knows the news?

We are most excited to invite you to a weekly news series called The Scoop, With Susan!, hosted by Susan Caraher.

Susan is a 40 year veteran of network television news who recently retired after 23 years at ABC News in Chicago. She had previously worked for CBS News for 18 years. She covered the news mainly from Chicago, but while with ABC often traveled extensively to report on the big stories. Just to give you a taste—she was in the Mideast leading up to the second Gulf War, in Tallahassee for the presidential recount, in Joplin, Missouri, to cover a huge tornado, and in Tampa to report on the night club shooting.

She remains a serious news junkie, always on top of the day’s events. She is also a most entertaining correspondent.

Every Thursday at 9 am EST, Susan will offer a half hour discussion about current events. Subject matters could range from the weighty ones in Washington, to the equally weighty local events, to Dancing With The Stars. We will have a special focus on the very interesting things the people of our age are up to.
