Please Join Us for Our Fifth Visible and Vital Event: A Conversation With Fran Engoron, Angel Investor.

By Erica and Karen

Please join us on Wednesday, June 9, at 5 pm, and sign up for the fifth event in our Visible & Vital series, part of our collaboration with Revel—a conversation with Fran Engoron, an angel investor.

Fran is a retired consultant and partner at PwC, the first female member of Price Waterhouse’s Global and US leadership teams, and now an angel investor in women owned businesses and a consultant and coach to women executives and entrepreneurs. Fran will talk about both the investor and entrepreneurial sides of the equation. Being an investor in women-owned companies thorough Golden Seeds, she will talk, for example, about what is an investable company and considerations for an investment strategy. Fran also advises women entrepreneurs, including the management teams of companies in which she invests, and will discuss whether, when and from whom to seek outside money. She will talk about how and why the community of women with whom she works, and the human interaction, are a large part of what she treasures about her investments.

Revel is a social platform and trusted space for women over age 50 to connect with new friends, online and in person, and explore a variety of experiences.

Our culture focuses on the losses that come with aging, but good things happen too. We are more patient, compassionate, less judgmental, and accept ourselves to a degree we couldn’t in our youth. While our physical beauty fades, we compensate by finding strength and courage that wasn’t there before. We’re no longer competing, we’re collaborating. In acknowledging that our need for connection is mutual, we Revelers create a welcoming environment where we can share our joys, fears, concerns, and common spirit.

With Revel, we created Visible & Vital: a six-part series, bridging generations and geography, of candid conversations with compelling women who are tackling big issues that impact us all. These discussions unite women across the country, of all ages and stages, who want to reimagine and redefine the next phase of their lives.

For our first, we spoke with Stacey Rosen, a doctor revolutionizing women’s health; for our second, Sharon Weinberg, who has had many careers and now owns a bookstore; for our third, Robin Aiello, marine biologist, paleontologist, evolutionary biologist and professional scuba diver; and for our fourth we spoke with Anette Matthieu of Lafayette 148 and had a fashion show. In our last segment, Erica and Karen will talk about their careers, and the foundation those careers gave them for their adventures with Lustre.

Please join us on Wednesday, June 9 at 5 pm, for this fascinating and timely talk.
