Ten Things To Do On A Snow Day.
By Erica and Karen
-
Stay under the covers and plead with your partner to bring you coffee in bed before you face the day.
-
Bake bread. Or, along the same lines, make pizza. In either case the wonderful smell will warm you even before you eat.
-
Clean out your closet. If you have warm clothes you do not plan to use again, give them away.
-
If it’s not icy, go for a long walk. It will feel great once you get going. And it will really feel great when you get back inside.
-
Plan your summer vacation. Or a winter vacation on the other side of the equator.
-
Read some good books. We can recommend:
-
Sanjay Gupta. Keep Sharp. Build A Better Brain At Any Age.
-
Tana French. The Searcher.
-
Lisa See. The Tea Girl of Hummingbird Lane.
-
David McCloskey. Damascus Station.
-
Gail Collins. When Everything Changed.
-
Madeline Miller. Circe.
-
Scott Ellsworth. The Secret Game.
-
-
Rearrange your furniture. Or maybe repaint or recover one piece.
-
Rearrange your face. Try new makeup. Maybe this will inspire you.
-
Send an upbeat email, with pictures, preferably of you beachside, to everyone you like. Photoshop is fine.
-
Watch a movie that will make you cry.
Spring is coming!
