ProPublica: An Inside Look at Independent Investigative Journalism

ProPublica is an independent, nonpartisan, nonprofit newsroom that produces investigative journalism in the public interest. With more than 180 journalists, it is the largest investigative newsroom in the country, and its reporting has driven meaningful reforms through legislation, elections, and within key public institutions. ProPublica and its journalists have been recognized with eight Pulitzer Prizes, including the 2024 and 2025 Public Service awards — journalism’s highest honor.
