Twelve Predictions For The New Year.

2026 draws close. Have you made resolutions? We haven’t. Why start now?

But predictions we do have.

1. A Hollywood movie will be made about a powerful older woman in a torrid romance with an attractive younger man. The movie will star Cate Blanchett and Austin Butler.
2. A brilliant, young, unknown designer will make elegant dresses with sleeves. She will become a billionaire.
3. Elon Musk will make it to Mars. He will not make it back. He will populate Mars with hybrids.
4. E-bikes will be replaced for food deliveries by cute little robots, with their names on their fronts, that will not run over you on the sidewalk.
5. Reading will resurge as a pastime.
6. The Supreme Court will reverse Citizen’s United and Congress will pass a statute that limits everyone, billionaires included, to campaign finance contributions of $2000.
7. AI hype will dissolve and AI will be understood to be a tool, one that must be used carefully, but not a tool that requires us to rethink how life on the planet is lived.
8. Everyone on earth will take GLP1 drugs to treat everything that ails them. We will all get so healthy we won’t need medicine anymore and will all live to be 250.
9. Physical currency will follow the penny into oblivion.
10. Scientists will finally prove that martinis are the key to healthy longevity.
11. The Epstein files will be released in full so we can stop talking about releasing the Epstein files and do something.
12. Everyone in Silicon Valley will retire to their expensive caves to live forever and we will never hear from them again.
